How to place your order

Browse the site and choose the products you want to buy, and click "Add to Basket". At any time you can view your shopping basket and edit or delete the items in it. When you are ready, click "Checkout" and you will be taken through a series of forms asking for your name, address, email address, etc.

It is very important that you provide is with a valid email address and phone number - otherwise, if there is a problem with delivery, we will not be able to contact you to put the matter right. We never share your details with anyone else.

Comparing Products

Instead of clicking "Add to Basket", you can choose to click "Compare Products". Once you have two or more products in your "Compare" list, you can click the button at the top of the website to compare the items to help you decide which to buy.

Your Wishlist

Like the look of something, but not yet ready to buy it? Add it to your Wishlist. That way, you'll be able to find it again and add it to your basket easily. You can remove items from your Wishlist any time you like.

Urgent orders

If your order is extremely urgent, please speak to us by 2pm and we will do everything we can to get it to you quickly. Orders must be placed before 2pm in order to be despatched the same day, because the driver collects parcels at 4pm and it takes a certain amount of time to complete the paperwork and pick/pack your tea.


We offer a large range of teas and we only buy teas that meet our standards of quality. At any given time, depending on the season, certain teas will be unavailable, and some years we may not offer certain products at all.

All items listed for sale on this website are available in stock today.

If you can't find a particular tea, please complete a contact form or give us a call to get a stock forecast.

Viewing Orders

How to View Your Orders

You can view your current and previous orders at any time by logging in to the "Your Account" page (link at the top of every page). All your orders, however placed (whether by email, phone or on the website) will be listed here. You can see, for each order, the date you placed it, its status, shipping information (including the tracking code), products ordered, order total, etc.

You can edit orders that have not yet been completed. Simply click in to the order and make the changes you want. If you have any problems, give us a ring and we will help.

This website does not have information about orders created before the website was built, so if you are a long-standing customer you will not be able to see your full order history. We can of course give you any information you need about past orders over the phone or by email.

Order Status

Order statuses can be confusing. Here is a list of the usual statuses with an explanation in clear English.

Status Meaning
Pending An order exists, but it is not yet complete
Pending Payment You have placed your order, but we are awaiting payment (eg cheque or bank transfer)
Payment Review Means fraudulent activity is suspected on the credit card used. Quite unusual but it happens!
Processing Payment has been received and we are in the process of packing and shipping the order
Complete The order has been despatched (or is packed and awaiting the UPS pickup at 4pm)
Cancelled Order has been cancelled, either by you or by us on your behalf
On Hold Some temporary problem has occurred and the order is on hold


Please allow up to three days for delivery to mainland UK addresses from the time of placing your order.

We fulfil orders from our own warehouse in Portsmouth, UK, using UPS, the Royal Mail and other services where necessary.

Please note:

  • If you choose a tracked delivery method (eg UPS courier) then your order will tell you the tracking code so that you can check when the parcel is going to be delivered.
  • You can log in to your account at any time to check your orders.
  • If you have special delivery instructions, for example "Leave with Neighbour", "Leave in Shed", or "Gate Entry Code: 1234" then please add these in the notes section on the checkout page.

Why not get Delivery to your workplace?

it is a constant problem that none of us are ever at home during the day any more. Consider adding your work address to your address book to make sure you get your parcel!

...or to a Local Pickup Point?

UPS now have a network of Local Pickup points. These are shops, cafes, etc that have agreed to hold UPS parcels for collection. There will probably be one near your home. This saves the nuisance of having to arrange a second delivery attempt the following day. Typically, parcels are available at the pickup point from 4pm on the day of delivery. (the delivery driver goes to the pickup point at the end of his round)

Returns and Refunds

Every product we sell is backed by our NO-QUIBBLE GUARANTEE. If you don't like the product you have bought and need a refund or replacement, just ask and we will sort it out for you. You can do this by emailing us, phoning the office, or sending a contact form.

We cannot accept returns of food items (tea etc) if the pack has been opened, for reasons of food hygiene.

Payment, Pricing & Promotions


We take payment for orders at the time the order is placed on this website.

We do not handle payments on this website and never see your card details. Payments are processed for us entirely by respected third-party websites, specifically PayPal and Amazon. This means you can be confident that your card details are only accessed by well-known websites with the very highest levels of security.

PCI DSS is the standard that regulates security of confidential information. We are entirely compliant with this standard, for both online and offline transactions

If you think there has been a mistake with payment - for example, you have inadvertently placed and paid for an order twice - then please contact us on 023 9275 0122 and we will rectify the situation, by refunding the erroneous payment or taking other action as required.


Tea prices fluctuate like those of any other internationally-traded commodity according to demand (which routinely exceeds supply, especially in the Middle East and China, where people are willing to pay more for their tea than we are in Britain) weather (a good or bad harvest), oil prices (the cost of fertilizer, fuel and transportation) and exchange rates. We sometimes have to change our prices to reflect market conditions so that we can remain in business providing you with tea without having to reduce our quality standards, and we reserve the right to do so at any time without prior notice.


Promotional prices are offered on the day they are advertised and we do not promise to maintain them for any particular period of time. Some promotions might not be available in conjunction with other promotions.

You can visit the "Your Account" page at any time. From here you can update your personal details, manage your address book, change your password, etc.

They receive the information needed to verify and authorise your payment card. All such organisations are under a strict obligation to keep your personal information private.

We also use banner advertising on other websites to present you with products we think may be of interest to you, based on your browsing history.
